Hannah's story
Rescued from a Barn!
Hannah, 14 week old Blue Point Ragdoll mix kitten, was saved from a horrible barn life by our wonderful friends at Freeman-Fritts. Hannah is still slightly shy and needs a quiet home with a family or person willing to be patient with her. No small children please!
She is quite sweet and cuddly once you have her, but she likes to show she is the boss by making you come to her. She will require considerable time with socialization, so please do not apply UNLESS you are willing to spend time socializing her appropriately.
Hannah came in with her brother, Clint. They do not have to go home together, BUT they must go home under our Companion Cat Policy, which means they must go to a home with a young cat under the age of 3 or kitten or be adopted with a young cat under the age of three or kitten. Reduced adoption fees may apply when adopting a pair.
If you are interesting in adopting this precious kitten who deserves a safe, indoor life, please email us at merlinshoperagdollrescue@gmail.com. The adoption fee is $250
Sorry, we do not ship our cats or provide any transportation. All potential adopters should reside in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, or Louisiana. We will not adopt outside of those states.
Who We Are: We are a private rescue and privately funded. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, BUT A RESCUE. A rescue is a PRIVATE HOME and not a public place to visit. Adopters must make appointments prior to visiting foster homes. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, wormed, de-fleaed, and vaccinated prior to adoption.
Adoption Process: We require all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application prior to setting up an appointment to visit with the cat(s). We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. If you call or email us, we will provide you with an application via email.
YOUNG CAT COMPANION POLICY: Unless otherwise indicated, all cats under the age of 3 must go into a home with another cat/kitten under the age of three or be adopted with a buddy. Ragdolls and Maine Coons are physically slow to mature, benefit greatly from the social interactions with another cat and often long for the companionship. Obviously, some young adults not raised around other cats or with more independent personalities may be exceptions to those rules, but that is up to the discretion of the Rescue to assess that need and is not negotiable. Special prices are made for buddy adoptions.
